A long standing tradition in the Southern Appalachian Mountains, arts and crafts has long been a main fixture of this wonderful culture. With this in mind, it’s easy to see why the Great Smoky Arts and Crafts show is a huge draw at the Gatlinburg Convention Center.
From delicately sewn dolls, to hand painted and forged pottery, every single item you find at this wonderful show is unique, hand crafted, and of the highest quality. You will adore the craftsmanship on display as you wonder the halls of the historic Gatlinburg Convention center, all while the Springfest, and all of its natural beauty, is in full tilt.
But, as you may know, craft making has a very wide audience, meaning some items may not appeal to everybody. Fortunately, whether you like woodcarving or candle making quilting or weaving, you will find what you enjoy! And the best of it, as well! Without a doubt, the Great Smoky Arts & Crafts Community offers the best in a wide range of craft shops, including those already mentioned as well as broom making painting, and many other fine art forms! No matter what your interest, you will find it here at the amazing Smoky Arts & Crafts shows! This is one Gatlinburg attraction you can’t miss!
Even better, the crafts aren’t the only things that make these events so legendary! The Easter Weekend show takes place right in the middle of Springfest and all its natural glory! The surrounding countryside is absolutely beautiful during this time and, if you’re lucky, you may get to catch some of the live entertainment that is always on display during this time! On top of this, you will get to watch some of the local artists and craftsmen from Gatlinburg create unique, one of a kind works of art—something that no other crafts show can boast!
Other than that, don’t forget to check out the 8 mile loop trail located 3 miles from downtown Gatlinburg. Here, you’ll be able to check out even more local artists and craftsmen throughout the historic area!
