Named for the original American pioneer, Davy Crockett, this Gatlinburg mini golf course features this Tennessean riding a bear wearing the familiar “coon skin” cap. It is surrounded by shady trees and natural wildflowers. Manufactured creeks flow through the entire grounds, bubbling over rocks, and turning the mill wheel. Birds perch in branches above and animated frogs croak in this natural environment.

Each hole has unique animation displays that will make you laugh with glee. Choose the course that goes up to the fort and “fire” the cannon when you finish that hole. The alternate course is perfect for beginners. Daily operating hours are listed on their website, or you may call the Ripley’s office for more information. Admission price is $10.99 for adults, with lower rates for children. You can also purchase both courses for an additional $3.00. As with all Ripley’s attractions in Gatlinburg, present your current United States Military Identification to receive a substantial discount. Group rates are also available, and children under age two are admitted free. It is well worth the admission price, as you will spend approximately one or two hours per course.
Most Gatlinburg Tennessee attractions have “make your own” souvenir penny machines. By paying two quarters and a penny, you can have a penny stamped with the name and date of the attraction. These self-stamping machines are located everywhere including at the Ripley’s Davy Crockett Mini Golf Course. Ask at the admission desk to exchange your penny for a very bright new penny to use in this fun machine.
