Gatlinburg is the best place for shopping for gifts, souvenirs and more. With hundreds of shops in Gatlinburg alone, you can definitely find gifts for everyone who wasn’t able to join you on vacation. Here’s a few of our favorite places for Gatlinburg shopping:

The Village Shops

The Village Shops in Gatlinburg is one of the most popular shopping locations in the area. The Village area has a unique environment and unique shops where you can find a little bit of everything. Some of the popular shops include:

  • The Day Hiker
  • Alewine Pottery
  • Life According to Jake
  • Candle Cottage
  • Pepper Palace
  • God’s Corner
  • And More!

The Donut Friar is located at The Village in Gatlinburg, and it’s one of the best places to stop for a homemade donut and fresh coffee. There’s seating outside, too, so you can enjoy the weather, too.

Gatlinburg Arts and Crafts Community

arts and crafts

The Gatlinburg Arts and Crafts Community is one of the best places for a Gatlinburg shopping experience that’s a bit different than anything else you’ll find in the area. The Arts and Crafts Community is made up of dozens of local artists’ shops who have their artwork on display for purchase. Art played a major role in the history of the Gatlinburg area and these artists keep that history alive in their studios.

You can meet the artists, purchase homemade goods like jewelry, pottery, housewares and more. This is one of the best places for souvenirs that will last as a lifetime memory of Gatlinburg.

Candy Shops on the Parkway

If you’re doing a little shopping along the Parkway, make sure you stop into some of the candy and fudge shops in the area. There’s quite a few located right on the Parkway that you can’t miss. At many of these shops, you can even see the candy makers working on fudge, taffy and more. It’s a great experience especially for kids, plus it’s delicious candy and treats to enjoy during your vacation – you can’t go wrong! We recommend starting your tastings at the Ole Smoky Candy Kitchen!

National Park Visitor Centers

sugarlands

The national park visitor centers are some of the best for souvenirs of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. At the Sugarlands, Cades Cove and Clingmans Dome visitor centers, you’ll find a variety of gifts and souvenirs for all ages. The gift shops at the visitor centers have books, pamphlets, maps, souvenir gifts like postcards, magnets and t-shirts as well as items for kids. Plus, if you have any questions about the national park while you’re in the area, there’s park rangers located at the visitor centers to help you answer questions to learn more about the area.

These are just a few of our favorite places to stop throughout the day, but there are hundreds of Gatlinburg shopping spots that you’ll find just by walking up and down the Gatlinburg Parkway.
