A winter getaway to Gatlinburg, Tennessee is the perfect way to enjoy this delightful season in the Great Smoky Mountains. Although the winters in Gatlinburg are generally mild, we do get snow throughout the winter months. The great news is that there is plenty to enjoy in the comfort of your cabin on a snowy day in Gatlinburg! The following are six of our favorite activities for a wintry day at our Gatlinburg vacation cabins:

1. Relax in the Jacuzzi

Many of our cabin rentals come with indoor Jacuzzi tubs, so you can soak the day away as the snow comes down! Whether you are looking for romance or simply relaxation, taking a dip in a Jacuzzi is the perfect way to stay nice and warm when the weather is on the chilly side.

2. Sit by the Fireplace

There is something magical about sitting next to a roaring fire as a snowy winter scene forms outside of your cabin. Cuddle up with a good book as you warm your bones by the fire or put on a favorite movie on the television. Have everyone in the family gather around the fire as you play a card game and share some laughs. Regardless of how you decide to spend your day by the fireplace, it is sure to be a highlight of your winter vacation!

3. Challenge a Family Member to a Game

Your cabin is a destination in itself, so we have ensured that our guests have plenty of entertainment to enjoy during their stay. Many of our cabins come with game rooms that offer pool tables, air hockey, and other popular games. Challenge a family member to a round of billiards or a ping pong tournament. You might even have prizes for the winners, or perhaps the losers have to clean the snow off of the car!

4. Cook a Delicious Meal

All of our cabins feature a full kitchen with every amenity imaginable. Many of our guests even find that our kitchens have more amenities than their own kitchen at home! Therefore, take the time to prepare a delicious lunch or dinner as the snow falls outside. Also, be sure to keep the hot chocolate flowing if the kids decide to go outside and have a snowball fight or make snow angels!

5. Sleep in Late

It is often difficult to enjoy a decent night of sleep during the regular hustle and bustle of everyday life. Therefore, take advantage of a snowy day at our Gatlinburg vacation cabins to sleep in late or to take a nap in the afternoon. Although one might not immediately think of sleeping as an activity, it is actually a wonderful way to feel re-energized and relieve a tremendous amount of stress. So go ahead and turn that alarm clock off if you see the snow falling on the ground in the morning!

6. Catch Up with Friends Back Home
